With in-chair power bleaching, our team can help patients find a brighter smile in less than two hours. This fast-acting treatment can be carried out in just one appointment, meaning you can stop by the practice in between meetings or before heading to lunch on Marylebone High Street and leave with a brighter, whiter smile.

We will first carry out a consultation to make sure we can proceed with teeth whitening without any preparatory treatments. During the treatment, we’ll use a gum protector before applying the bleaching agent directly to the teeth, and you’ll be able to leave the practice with your new, pearly-white smile.

How does teeth whitening work?

Teeth whitening treatments use a whitening agent, usually either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, to penetrate the enamel of the tooth and break down the discoloured molecules. This leaves the teeth looking whiter and brighter with a beautifully polished finish.

Is teeth whitening safe?

When carried out under professional supervision and using dentist-approved treatments, teeth whitening is perfectly safe. There are teeth whitening treatments available from salons and online, but the safety and efficacy of these treatments cannot be guaranteed.

Does teeth whitening affect the natural tooth enamel?

Using dentist-approved teeth whitening treatments will not detrimentally affect the natural enamel of your teeth.

Does teeth whitening hurt?

Some patients experience increased sensitivity when using teeth whitening treatments, but we can recommend using sensitivity treatments beforehand to reduce this as much as possible.

For example, Enlighten® make a special toothpaste that patients should use for two weeks prior to starting their treatment in order to properly prepare their teeth.

Am I suitable for this treatment?

We do not carry out teeth whitening on patients under the age of 18 or any pregnant or breastfeeding patients.

If you’re interested in teeth whitening, we’ll first have to ensure your mouth is free of any tooth decay or gum disease and carry out any treatments as necessary before proceeding to the teeth whitening treatment.
